Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
